[unpaid/sample] I love a good eyeliner and Et Al has more than delivered with their new Line + Define liners - each one an absolute winner, colour wise. There are seven shades which include Ink (black) and Cocoa (brown) as standard shades but they've expanded on the colour wheel within that standard and created some gorgeous, nuanced colours. Terrible confession - I was going to give one to a friend and there wasn't one I could bear to part with. I'll go straight to hell, I know.
The shade I've really fallen for is Port - a kind of mauve brown that will suit everyone I think. It's the kind of colour you might find on the Farrow & Ball paint chart and wonder if you dare. Well, you should dare - it's the feature wall of eye wear - the one that gives you that extra oomph and makes everything else you're wearing sing.
From bottom to top: Port, Chestnut, Forest, Onyx, Cocoa, Slate and Ink. My next favourite is Slate - a deep grey that won't give you the harshness of black but will give you a very sultry something. And yes, you can wear it with brown or black mascara and it will look delicious. Grey liners are hard to come across so strike while the iron is hot - I think Slate will smoulder its way out of stock in no time at all.
I'm wearing Port here - I've overlined so you can get an idea of the shade and taken it under my lower lashes too. I don't really see the point of smudging this shade as it's not a strong enough colour to be diluted in that way unlike, say, black or dark brown. Just do a lovely upper lash line and swing it round under the lower lashes too - these pencils are super creamy and absolutely smudge proof. If you find a perfect line impossible, you can smudge, but reapply and smudge again so you don't lose the intensity.
See how lovely Slate is? It's vampy without being too direct and it's super elegant. You can wear it entirely on it's own with just a slick of mascara. They're £22 HERE. A tip in the summer heat is to keep them in the fridge - it makes sharpening any creamy liners so much easier.
Lovely colours. How do you think they compare to the Hildun Beauty ones which you kindly recommend and I love!? 🥰
The colours of those eyeliners are beautiful. I've not worn it in years, mainly to do with the fact I'm as blind as the proverbial bat, plus I have to hold the mirror right in front of my nose. Not ideal for trying to put on eyeliner. I did try one that came in a gift set a couple of years ago.....it would have made you laugh 😁!
