Friday Treat: Uniqlo Dress

The best dress for dress haters...

Yes, sorry we are back at Uniqlo but I don’t seem to be able to help myself. I’ll keep it brief and say that while I rarely wear dresses, this one spoke to me. It part of the Claire Waight Keller x Uniqlo collection and is utility enough not to be fluffy but floaty enough to be elegant. It’s got a pocket on the front bib which I love and those pleats are lighter than air – plenty of casual swish.

There are two colours – khaki is currently completely sold out although you might be lucky in store but black has availability in XXS, M and L. I initially bought L but it was just a bit too big so I swapped it for M which is the perfect fit for my size 12, 34D body. The thing I really love about it is that it’s not fitted – it just drops down from the bib so if you feel self-conscious about your tummy, which I do sometimes, it’s the perfect thing. I’m all for body positivity but sometimes you feel the way you feel and it’s okay to dress for that mood. The straps are adjustable and I see myself wearing either nothing but a bra underneath or a lightweight white t-shirt or racerback.
