Kosas Revealer Extra Bright Colour Corretor Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I'm very interested in Kosas marketing for their Revealer Extra Bright Colour Corrector which is being twinned with their existing Revealer Concealer as a 'system' for covering dark circles. At first I thought that maybe it's a just a good way to persuade you to buy two products instead of one (and maybe it is!) but it does seem that the Revealer Extra Bright brings an extra dimension to the concealer and gives more thorough coverage.
I'm not a fan of under eye concealers really - I'm just never aiming for that level of perfection with make up and on older skin, which obviously mine is, the formulas have a habit of seeping into the minute creases that invariably form with age and it just makes everything look worse. I still think I'm not a convert but I must admit that the Revealer Extra Bright definitely worked over Revealer Concealer to give a consistent and brightened look.
If you're in, the way to use Revealer Extra Bright is firstly to use it in dots over your dark circles, blend it out smoothly (I used a brush) to neutralise and then follow it on with Revealer Concealer. It's working with the colour cancelling theory - using opposite colours to create a neutrality. So, for redness, you'd use green and for dark circles, orange or peach. This is an age old technique in make up so there's nothing new about that, but what is new is a formula that works exceptionally well. When I pulled out Illusion and looked at it, I thought, that's far too orange. But, it wasn't - not at all. I then put 01N Revealer Concealer over the top and to all intents and purposes, wiped out my dark circles. I felt like I was putting far too much on, but after blending out, it wasn't the case.
Better yet, the formula has enough moisture that it doesn't seep into creases too much and enough pigment that it can properly correct. When I say doesn't seep too much, I mean that there is a very small amount - these are very fine lines - that is only visible in the magnifying mirror and, unless you are under very close inspection with a magnifying glass, unlikely to be spotted by anyone else.
I'm interested to see how well Revealer Extra Bright would work with other concealers - there's no reason that it shouldn't if you get your neutralising shade just right. There are five shades - pink for very light tones, pink peach for light medium tones, peach for medium to deep tones, red peach for very deep tones. They're £30 each HERE.

The ‘extra bright’ name makes it sound like you’re going to end up with glowing white patches under your eyes.
I remember having about three under eye products piled up on a counter as a demonstration once. Decided to try before I bought and, thank goodness I did, because half an hour later there were visible cracks and my then barely there lines were screaming at me. I’ve proceeded with caution under my eyes ever since.
