[unpaid/sample] Personally, I don't think I've seen a slim pencil style concealer before - concealers tend to be wand or stick style and you make the best of the splodge that you get by blending out - although a quick search shows me that it's a trend coming out of Japan. The new Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer really connects back to her roots as a make-up artist where precision is everything, particularly on a beauty shoot.

There are 16 shades in all and each pencil has its own sharpener tucked away at the end. The Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer pencils are not really for under eye circles which is probably the most popular area for concealing - for that, I think you need the creamier elements of a liquid concealer. These are for the perfectionists amongst us who want an absolutely perfected base - it's very satisfying to take your pencil around any pigmentation, red marks or spots and erase them. I'm an advocate of real skin so I rarely conceal anything but not everyone is like me. If you love to spend time on your complexion and base, your inner make up artist will be in bliss.

Lisa's tips include not making a circle over your chosen area, but give it more of a scribble that can be more easily blended at the edges. You will need a tiny brush for this - any clean eye brush is okay.

I've swatched the four shades I was sent - my match is No. 4 and I've completely obliterated the red mark left by a a blocked pore spot by scribbling it over with the matte finish pencil. The Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer pencil works beautifully for any tiny bits and bobs that you want to conceal and in shadow points, but it's not, in my view, for the under-eye area.
