Morphe Cheek Frills Blush Trio Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ll be honest, I’ve been avoiding writing this post because I haven’t done a full on swatch post of every product in forever because they’re so labour intensive, but I’ve now got two of these trio compacts in my use-all-the-time trolley (used to be a drawer, have upgraded to a trolley from Hobby Craft) and I think they’re such good value. So, here we go. The Morphe Cheek Thrills are new to the Morphe range, described as a multi-finish face trio. Each palette contains three textures: satin cream, luminous balm (metallic shimmer) and velvet powder so you can apply your blush according to how you feel on any given day with any texture you want. You can do all three at once if you’d like to although more usually, I apply two – the satin cream with a tap of the luminous balm. They’re £19 and some are out of stock both on the Morphe website and Selfridges (which I hate sending people to because of the high postage) but I feel certain more stock will come and that they’ll launch into Boots soon. £19 for three easy to use and very wearable cheek shades feels like a good buy to me.

On the left is Blind Date and on the right is Cabana Club. Blind Date is a selection of warm pinks with the cream shade veering to peach. Cabana is super bright in orange and red and absolutely glorious for deeper tones.

On the left is Apres ski with three cool pinks, verging on baby pink, and on the right is Wine & Dine, full of berry depth.

On the left is Sunset Swim which is perfect for neutral looks on warm tones and on the right is Beach Bonfire, the safest bet of them all.

The main image here is Sunset Swim, a holiday blush palette if ever I saw one. Above right is Apres Ski and below right is Beach Bonfire.

The top left is Cabana Club, bottom right is Blind Date. The top right is After Party (which I don't have a palette picture of) and bottom right is Wine & Dine. Texturally, you'll find the cream and luminous versions a touch light on pigment because the colour dissipates as you blend out as there is such a thing as too luminous if you add more!

In this picture, I'm wearing Sunset Swim - as a quick tip, I always take the brush over my eye lids to just add a dab of colour that wakens up the eyes and gives more of a harmonious tone to the face.

In this picture, I'm wearing Beach Bonfire, again with a sweep over my lids. I'll add in links HERE and HERE just in case the shade you like is in stock but it might be a question of waiting - Revolution has a similar model for £7.99 but I can't speak to the quality as I haven't tried it.
