Thank You Farmer Watery Sun Cream SPF50 Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I've long been a fan of Japanese and Korean sun protection which, a few years ago, was such revelation compared to our home-grown formulas. I guess that because the aesthetic for both countries is to keep their skin from showing any sun whatsoever plus a level of humidity that we rarely encounter, formulas have to be both lightweight and thoroughly reliable for whatever comes their way. Mostly though, the biggest difference is that they feel and act like skin care as well as protecting from the sun so they're a pleasure to wear.

This sample came in Caroline's skin care edit and I was so pleased to see it because it's one I've wanted to try for ages and very much lives up to my expectations. Thank You Farmer was created in South Korea by Kyu Woo Nam in 2014 so its a relatively young brand - and brave too, because the Korean SPF market is already saturated. If you wonder where the name came from, it's homage to the farmers who grow the ingredients that are used - rice water, centella asiatica and purslane are some examples.

On cue, Thank You Farmer Watery Sun Cream is very light which in turn makes it so easy to work over the skin. It's best for drier skin types - you might find this too much if you're overly oily because it leaves a light sheen. I've tried it under make up and so far, so good - no interactions but leave it a few minutes before you slosh your foundation on. The formula actually left my skin feeling softer than before it was applied. I've visited the Thank You Farmer website and aside from wanting literally every single thing on it, I notice that they have an SPF50 sun stick HERE and they are such useful things for chucking in your handbag.

I would ten out of ten recommend this for day to day SPF - I'm currently using Isntree Watery Sun Gel (£18) which I see you can now get via Superdrug HERE and again, it's a thorough recommend from me. Thank You Farmer Watery Sun Cream is £22 HERE.
