You look great! You know you look great. Ignore the mother. I mean literally ignore whatever is said & change the subject! I don’t know why they think it’s acceptable to disparage their daughter’s appearance! Mine was a bugger for it!
I’m a couple of years older than you & have patches of grey, like a piebald pony. I chose a full head bleached white pixie cut.
It looks fab and totally suits you, and compliments your skin tone too. I’m one who is grey transitioning and it is so freeing not to have to worry about those pesky roots anymore. Welcome to the ‘Grey Girls Club’ 🙋🏼♀️
I know! The absolute cheek - I'm seeing both my mum and my auntie later in the week so god knows what they'll say face to face! I think I just look brighter - I feel brighter anyway :-)
It looks wonderful and really suits you. My fringe is completely grey, and I’ve about 7-8 inches of grey, with brunette ends just an inch or so less. I’ll wait till I chop off another couple of inches then review the situation. My colouring is similar to yours although I’ve blue eyes, and I’m already decluttering my pale nude lipsticks and neutral coloured blushers for warmer toned ones, and ditching matte, slightly heavier foundations for skin tints. A few more months and I’ll be good to go. Yay😌.
I love it! I went down the same road a couple of years ago and agree that people have very strong opinions about what is essentially another hair colour
My mom hated it when I went grey, like it was some sort of reflection on her, of how old she was! “Dear gawd, mother, it’s not about you!”
My hair is mostly white- I dyed it dark purple for several years then gradually lightened it over about 8 months by dying it lavender. I wore it as grey for a while but found it too boring for me, so now I dye it lavender. I love not having to double-process it and I have no roots!💕
Having had purple and now lavender, I also chose not to change the colours I wear…but do people ever LOVE when I match to my hair.
Your hair looks fantastic and very natural. The lighter tones really suit you.❤️

That sounds very sophisticated! Yes, I will ignore her (and auntie) but grrr 😡😂
It gets worse as they age. Any filter they may have once had disappears.
It’s like a rerun of Mean Girls but they’re all in their 80s & 90s.
An aunt has made it so bad her granddaughters hate visiting!

thanks Karen! I think I will still have root issues but the other way - too dark probably. I love it though and wish I'd done it sooner.
Looks great 👍….. from a fellow gone greyer who hasn’t looked back👍
thank you - I don't think I'm going to look back either!
You look so good, I feel all smiley for you.
I feel all smiley too! Thank you so much Verity :-)
Honestly, mothers. I think someone said on IG it makes you look more youthful and I think it does, though I couldn’t say why. I love it.

Thank you ! I’ve yet to experiment with different lipsticks - time will tell I guess if I have to ditch some or not :-))
You look great. I'm 70 in December and have very little grey hair and it's totally natural. I'm just leaving it to do what it wants.
Very sensible - I don't have loads but it's just getting to a tipping point so I wanted to try something new.
If I get fed up of it I'll probably follow your lead. You've inspired me. Thanks Jane.
