I’ve seen various headlines online over the past couple of days about this. I don’t know any of the specifics of the case.
I’ll be honest I had a read some of the threads on Tattle because I had heard of it a few times and I was curious. Yes, some of the comments that I have read have been breathtakingly nasty. But a lot that I read were of people who felt lied to and let down by people in the public eye, if that’s the right way to describe them. As far as I am aware - admittedly, I may be - I think you would have to seek out the site to read the threads or forums, they are not posting the comments directly to the people concerned.
I have seen far worse comments on Reddit, for example. Including the aforementioned ones I saw that were really nasty..
Don’t get me wrong, I can imagine the distress in reading unfavourable comments about yourself, especially if it then becomes a pile on. I don’t have the constitution for it and am happily living my anonymous life, where I can easily ignore people who don’t like me., or say things about me.So maybe it’s easy for me to have that attitude.
I don’t know. The most offensive part of that for me, is that the founder is a vegan influencer, to be honest.
I hear you - it was fuelled by mistrust and probably jealousy - I can see how it makes no sense to see people flogging products and being taken on trips etc and essentially being rewarded for being dishonest - ie not declaring ads etc. However, it got way, way and WAY out of control with no responsibility taken for the devastation they caused. In fact the worse things turned out for the ‘victims’ the happier they were. It went past commentary and past public criticism. The fact that he posed as a women is next level misogyny and who knows what a god complex like that does to a person.
£1.8 million, a goodly amount for him to pay. It's a pity the judge didn't put him inside as well though.....a vegan influencer would go down well in Bellmarsh!

I need to read through the article again and see why they didn’t. I think there’s a class action going on so he is definitely not free of drama yet.
